  • Developing your management committee/board or membership
  • Develop a Theory of Change
  • Defining and sharing key messages and/or developing communication plans

This list is not definitive, so please get in touch to discuss any strategic support needs you have.

Organisational development

Does your organisation need to raise its game to meet best practice? A5cend can help you develop and institute the structures and systems it needs to improve.

Our support comes in a variety of forms and we offer a tailored approach based on your individual needs. For example, we can:

  • Carry out an organisational “health check” to review your policies and advise you on what you need to have in place to deliver best practice and meet state and industry guidelines
  • Undertake a more formal organisational strength review to map areas for development and provide recommendations for improvement, as well as help you put these into practice
  • Carry out a review of your governance arrangements
  • Help review, update or devise policies and procedures, job descriptions or operational plans
  • Program and set up a tailored Saleforce database for your charity
  • Assist you in setting up consistent reporting procedures and developing systems for forward financial planning
  • Help with budgeting and streamlining
  • Provide advice and support to improve your internal communications and/or develop an external marketing and communications campaign

On occasion, our office team can also provide help with specific tasks, such as helping you plan and upload a database, input financial records or manage and update your filing systems. In short, we will tailor our services to suit your requirements.

Why a business plan?

A business plan can have a range of benefits for your organisation or even a specific program area.  It can:

  • Aid your team (staff, volunteers and trustees) to agree and realise a common goal.
  • Support you to attract funding for your plans
  • Help communicate your plans with stakeholders and the community
  • Strengthen your organisational management with concrete performance indicators to review your performance against
  • Provide clarity and leadership even during times of staff changes
  • Demonstrate you are a quality organisation.
