We can help you devise a fundraising strategy that sets out how you are going to achieve your fundraising goals. We will work with you to identify your core funding needs and potential areas of growth, then will identify suitable funders (trusts, foundations, donors etc) interested in funding your areas of work and/or help you devise exciting fundraising campaigns. We will help you create a realistic fundraising plan that prioritises the most likely applications, sets out what needs to happen by when to secure the funds, and makes sure funder deadlines are met.
Our fundraising strategies aim for well-balanced funding from multiple sources to avoid over-reliance on a single donor, and include a range of relevant funders to approach with appropriate timescales. The aim is to support your organisation to develop a more strategic and sustainable approach to fundraising and to help you avoid spending valuable time and resources chasing unsuitable funders.
Since 2010 A5cend has raised millions of pounds from a range of sources, including BBC Children in Need, Comic Relief and The National Lottery Community Fund, as well as more specialist trusts and foundations such as the City Bridge Trust, Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Tudor Trust. Our application success rate is around 70%, compared with the average charity’s success rate of 30%. We have raised core funding, project funding and capital funding.
We want to help you develop your own in-house fundraising expertise and skills. We offer one-to-one coaching tailored to your organisation’s specific needs.
We also advise and support you at every stage of the fundraising process, from telephone assessments and funder meetings through to appeal letters and funder queries.

Our ‘Guide To Major Giving’ will help your organisation unlock the potential of major gift fundraising. It is aimed at helping organisations understand what a major gift is, whether they are ready to solicit one and how to build a successful case for support.
The guide is based around four key strands: finding suitable major donors, communicating with them, engaging major donors, and making the ask.
Alongside the guide, A5cend offers major giving mentoring, aimed at helping your organisation understand what you want from a major donor programme and to then develop a successful major giving strategy and campaign, whilst supporting you as you work with prospective donors. Our mentoring provides a valuable sounding board and will offer pertinent advice and signposting.
